Maybe the hosts are doing and saying exactly as directed.
I don’t think they are as “free agent” as some assume.
I think it’s mostly crafted, drafted and scripted.

I think you’re right. They must see us and others talking about how aghast we are at some hosts’ behavior and figure if we’re talking about it, we’re paying attention, and that might turn into sales.

Rachel’s voice has changed for the worse over the years. I recently saw a short clip of her talking from her early days at QVC. She spoke in much a lower, softer volume. Now, she often sounds like a nasally, old-time carnival barker. She’s better when she presents alone but that’s kind of rare.

She really has changed for the worse. She used to be a favorite of mine because she was so laid back. Then again, JenCon was really good once, too…back when she was on overnights. QVC ruins them all.
