It makes me laugh every time she refers to her stylist. Sounds like people in general have disliked her for a long time (re the stolen roses story).

Those barrel jeans are such an unflattering silhouette. The only one who was sort of passable was 5ā10āā and size 8 (the blonde in black jeans). Blabby was the worst looking, and at one point she said ādonāt let anyone tell you youāre too old to wear somethingā. How about youāre too short and fat?
Also, they were $110 on sale.

Sheās lovely there. We all age, some of us gain weight. If she would just do the best with what she has (I donāt mean that in a rude wayā¦ does that make sense though?), she would still look nice. Sheās proven that. But she doesnāt do herself any favors with haircuts/styles that donāt suit her and makeup and clothes that are unflattering.
Itās not the physical thatās unattractive to me, itās her entire personality. Sheās really gotten strange over the past few years. Overbearing, rude, crude, overly talkative, Queen of TMI, etc. etc. We all know that score.

That could be! I think I get where youāre coming from.
Iām not sure she doesnāt care about her appearance, but she does seem to think she looks better (younger) than she actually does. The lying about her sizes and prancing around the soundstage and such.
I believe her stylist is convincing her that she looks good in things that she doesnāt actually look good in. I try to reiterate for emphasis that I do not shame her for her weight and certainly not for her age. But she should be realistic about that.
I think part of it is that sheās been helicopter parenting for so long that she missed out on making meaningful friendships. Not sure how much husband is around plus she works a ton so sheās kinda socially isolated. Sure she gets along with her coworkers and some of them get along with her but it strikes me that those are largely superficial relationships.
All this to say, she spends a lot of her time either on her own or visiting Dee. Iām sure she has empty nest syndrome without Dee and Cara home anymore (I get that to some degree, I miss my kids being at home sometimes too). It really seems like Dee is her BFF and Cara is a close second (maybe partly Caraās choice) but as far as people her own age? Donāt think there really is anyone. Iām not psychic or a psychologist but the way she latches on to people at the Q, especially Court, smacks of loneliness and desperation.
Finally, I feel Iāve been unfairly critical of Dee at times. To say she is needy sounds negative but I think her eating disorder is something to be monitored and concerned about. I donāt blame Jane for being concerned about her daughter. But at the same time Dee needs to grow up some time. If she needs treatment or counseling she needs to initiate that herself. Maybe sheās already doing that. Thereās being supported by Mom and thereās being overly dependent on Mom. The latter is not good for anyone.

I wonder if part of it is also the fact that sheās the oldest host now. Do I have that right ? Sheās seen a lot of younger hosts come on board and Dan H. and Caro got fired. Then Dan W. and MaryBeth retired. Am I missing anyone else in her age bracket thatās gone now ? Then QVC starts this Over 50 and Fabulous crap. Thereās a whole group of hosts that are approaching and just over 50, but Janeās the only one over 60. So, sheās trying to keep up with the younger hosts and the say, 45 - 55 bracket hosts. She should try to be a better representative for women in her age bracket and body type. Certain clothing styles come and go, and they donāt look good on everyone. Barrel leg jeans, anyone ? You really need to be a tall, leggy supermodel to pull those off.

Leaās age is currently listed as 64, she will turn 65 later this year. I donāt think Lea has that fixation and obsession that Blabs has. with her fleeting youth. Blabs would really benefit from a consultation with a trainer and a nutritionist to formulate a program geared to a woman of her age and whatever health and fitness challenges she deals with.
Barrel Jeans, tight fitting BimboBelle tops, and regularly scheduled drinking and dining dates with Goofy arenāt gonna cut it.
