Agree 100%. When I used to have to buy clothes at Lane Bryant (are they still around?) and they had all the current styles there , just bigger, I used to say that just because I CAN wear those styles, doesn’t mean I should!

Jane also needs to just slow down during her presentations. I know that ship has probably sailed, but if she could just take a breath and let the other person talk. They get what 8 - 10 minutes per product ? Sometimes she gets several stories out just during the 30 - 60 second introduction before she brings the OAP out. And sometimes she doesn’t even complete her sentences. It comes across as annoying and overbearing.

Whoever posted that Dee has an eating disorder was correct and the break up might have triggered it and that is why Blabby went missing. Here is her post from a few years ago.

Normally I would just post this picture with some generic caption because that’s what Instagram is. But I also feel that it should be a place where people are honest. So that’s what I’m going to do today in hopes it makes other people feel less alone.

I’ve talked a bit in the past about my experience with an eating disorder. The few times I’ve posted about it I talked about it in past tense. Today I’m talking about my current situation. Before I start, yes I am getting help so there is no need to worry about me. To put it bluntly I got diagnosed with anorexia earlier this year. I’m getting better and I’m improving so much but is a slow process. The pandemic has been awful for everyone and it resurfaced my ED. I lost over 20 pounds and became even more obsessed with counting calories/restricting food/weighting myself than I ever was. It’s still strange to me that even though my body is basically my career, I’ve treated it so horribly. In all honesty, it’s awful. But I don’t want this to label me. I love being happy, I love smiling, I love life, I love laughing and I love making people laugh. I’m a happy person but anorexia makes me the opposite. Recovery is rough but I know I can do it. I’m the type of person that if I put my mind to something, I’m going to accomplish it.

If you have made it this far, thank you for reading. If you or someone you know is going through something similar, just know it’s ok not to be ok. Talking about it is the first step. “just do the next right thing”.

:zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: :zipper_mouth_face: Sorry/Not Sorry, but Blabby is a monstrous excuse for a mother who just doesn’t know when to zip it. Anorexia is an addiction, just like drug and alcohol abuse that becomes a lifetime battle for those who suffer with these addictions. Instead of being a mother who stands beside her daughter and supports her struggle with an eating disorder, she just has to keep putting her daughter out there for the whole world to see and criticize. Blabs is a senseless mental midget who is too ignorant to realize that every time she puts Dee’s photos out there, Dee will look at them and become her own worst critic. Is she deliberately trying to sabotage her own daughter’s life and career. This really makes me angry to see how ineptly Blabs “supports” her daughter. As always, Blabby finds a way to make everything about herself because of her own selfish immaturity and ignorance.

Also, instead of Blabs racing to her side, why not have her come home for a little while or go visit her sister if she needs companionship? I think the whole Mom flies to Dee and Dad goes to spend the holidays with Cara is really bizarre. I assume Dee is still working, so she is handling it. And, maybe the eating disorder wasn’t even an issue with her this time around. I top hope Dee gets some help from someone who will tell her to start backing away from the mothership.

Perhaps being a workaholic TV shopping host needs a mental health classification. “Pathological attention seeker/liar”.

I think b/c she just plopped it on, Toni knows how to wear a wig why she didn’t help Jane is beyond me

Jane didn’t try to smooth or style the wig at all. It was almost like she was telling herself, “This wig makes me look better than my own hair, can’t have that. I’ll just leave it messy.”

She would have looked great in a couple of those wigs if she had allowed herself to. Honestly, there is no shame in wearing a wig if your hair is thin. Guess Jane prefers her Ursula Sea Witch look.

this is what I don’t get about the Q, they let hosts and models go on air with an ill-fitting garment or wig that they are trying to sell

I have mentioned this before, but lots of people think that when they tell you that you can wear a wig right out of the box, yeah you can. BUT, if you want it to look like it’s not a wig right out of the box, you HAVE to take it to a stylist to have it thinned, trimmed to your face, and styled to you. I guarantee that Toni wears her wigs that have been cut for her. I like Toni’s wigs, but she makes them too big for me and they bunch up, so they don’t fit to my head. I have pinned them on the inside, but they aren’t as comfortable against your head when there are bunches of pins. But, I do like the quality of her wigs.

So it’s a shopping channel that focuses a lot of its shows on fashion. Why not do a segment where they show a stylist and Jane while the stylist does exactly what you say? Edited down to 90 seconds or so - or a minute - whatever. Then Jane could wear the styled wig. Maybe could sell more of them that way? I know I’m talking crazy, knowing that the Sales Prevention Team is working so well at the Q

   Toni began her career as a licensed professional hair stylist, which explains why every wig looks good on her. You would assume that someone who sells her own line of wigs and other products would go to great lengths to present them in the best possible light. Selecting the appropriate wig, and styling it on the air would certainly be beneficial to encourage potential customers to purchase the product.

That would be great, but then all people will hear is that they have to pay more to get it to look good. And whine that they don’t know where to take it, etc . But, I really like the concept of that kind of show. Which means, like you say, it won’t happen. I have seen Blabby wear a decent wig before, but she sure didn’t when I was watching. I guess she is making up for her lost hours by being on for 24/7. The schedules are all over these days with morning hosts being on at night, etc. I am sure it is to cover for all the sickness there. But, I imagine that Blabs would be happy to be live 24 hours.

all of this with the wig shows how details are unimportant there
I think Toni or other wig vendors have said that wigs can be trimmed to better fit
but the one on Jane yesterday was awful
and she has worn wigs that flatter her

Blab’s lip color really highlights the grayness of her teeth.

I guess the tooth whitener they sell on QVC is not among “Janie’s Favorite Things.”
